Purchaser Terms of Service
Effective Date:
These Purchaser Terms of Service (“Purchaser Terms”) set forth the additional conditions for purchasing and using paid services and features (“Paid Services”) provided within the Rein application and the services (“Service”) operated by the Rein operator (“Operator”).
These Purchaser Terms supplement the Terms of Service and form an integral part thereof. In the event of any conflict between these Purchaser Terms and the Terms of Service, these Purchaser Terms shall prevail with respect to matters concerning the Paid Services.
Users who purchase or use Paid Services (“Purchasers”) agree to these Purchaser Terms in addition to the Terms of Service prior to making any purchase.
Article 1 (Application)
- These Purchaser Terms apply to all relationships between the Purchaser and the Operator concerning the purchase and use of Paid Services.
- The Operator may establish additional rules or guidelines regarding Paid Services (“Individual Paid Provisions”) which constitute part of these Purchaser Terms.
- In the event of conflict between these Purchaser Terms and any Individual Paid Provision, the Individual Paid Provision shall prevail unless otherwise specified.
Article 2 (Paid Services)
- The Operator may offer various Paid Services within the Service, including but not limited to premium memberships, virtual items, one-time purchases, and recurring subscriptions.
- Details of each Paid Service (content, price, term, etc.) shall be displayed on the Service at the time of purchase.
- Purchase of Paid Services grants the Purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the relevant features solely during the applicable term and in accordance with these Purchaser Terms and the Terms of Service. The Purchaser does not acquire any ownership rights.
Article 3 (Purchase and Eligibility)
- Prospective Purchasers shall purchase Paid Services in the manner prescribed by the Operator.
- Only individuals who have completed user registration under the Terms of Service and meet the age requirements may purchase Paid Services. Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older, or obtain prior consent from their legal guardian if they are minors.
- The Operator may refuse any purchase without obligation to disclose the reason.
Article 4 (Payment)
- Purchasers shall pay for Paid Services using the methods displayed at the time of purchase. These may include Apple In-App Purchase and, only where permitted by applicable law and platform rules, third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
- By making a payment, the Purchaser agrees to pay the displayed price plus any applicable taxes, fees, or currency conversion charges, and to comply with the terms of the chosen payment provider.
- If payment is delayed, the Operator may charge late payment damages in accordance with the terms displayed at the time of purchase or billing and applicable law.
- The Operator shall not be responsible for any errors, delays, or issues caused by payment providers, banks, app stores, or similar third parties.
Article 5 (Subscriptions and Cancellation)
- Recurring subscriptions renew automatically in accordance with the terms displayed at the time of purchase. The renewal date, cancellation deadline, and other conditions are governed by the purchase screen and the applicable platform.
- Upon cancellation, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refund or credit is provided for any remaining portion of the period.
- Subscriptions purchased through a platform such as the Apple App Store may be cancelled through that platform’s subscription settings or through any subscription-management flow provided by the Service.
Article 6 (Refunds and Withdrawal)
- Refund eligibility and procedures are governed by applicable law, the terms displayed at purchase, and the rules of the payment provider or platform used for the purchase.
- Under Japanese law, statutory cooling-off rights that apply to certain sales methods generally do not apply to mail-order or online sales. Any cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law or the terms displayed at purchase will nevertheless prevail.
- When a refund is granted, it will generally be processed through the payment provider or platform used for the original purchase.
Article 7 (Changes to Prices and Paid Services)
- The Operator may modify, add, or discontinue Paid Services or change their prices. Material changes will be announced in advance where required by applicable law or platform rules.
- The effective date of subscription price changes, any required consent, and available cancellation options are governed by applicable law and the rules of the relevant platform.
Article 8 (Suspension or Termination of Paid Services)
- The Operator may suspend or terminate access to Paid Services if the Purchaser violates these Purchaser Terms, the Terms of Service, applicable law, or falls within a case listed in Article 8 of the Terms of Service. Refund eligibility remains subject to applicable law and the rules of the relevant payment provider or platform.
- Upon termination, the Purchaser may lose access to the affected Paid Services and remaining benefits, without prejudice to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Article 9 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)
The provisions of Article 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability) of the Terms of Service shall apply mutatis mutandis to Paid Services. The Operator provides no additional warranties regarding the availability, quality, or uninterrupted use of Paid Services.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Miscellaneous)
- These Purchaser Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any matters not provided for herein shall be subject to the Terms of Service.
- The Ichinomiya Summary Court or the Nagoya District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
- These Purchaser Terms may be amended in accordance with Article 13 of the Terms of Service.
- Inquiries regarding these Purchaser Terms shall be directed to the contact information set forth in Article 22 of the Terms of Service.
